Emma Steer

ABOUT

Emma Steer currently works as a associate attorney in the San Diego office. In May 2023, Emma received her Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. In May 2019, Emma received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, California.

During law school, Emma worked at a non-profit assisting low-income Veterans with their legal needs, and at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office in the Domestic Violence unit. As part of her role in the Women’s Law Caucus, Emma helped orchestrate the Alumni-Mentorship program. Emma also competed on USD’s Client Advocacy Team in a competition hosted by the American Bar Association (ABA). In her last year of law school, Emma became a legal extern at Hanna Brophy.

Emma was born in Durban, South Africa, and grew up in Vancouver, Canada. She likes reading poetry, going to the beach, grabbing coffee in new spots around San Diego, and weightlifting.
